Branding I Art Direction I Design
The Minnesota Daily wanted to refresh their brand at the beginning of Fall 2016. They wanted their new logo to align more with the masthead used on the actual newspaper. Following this direction, I moved towards a typographic logo mark that utilized the "Daily" part of the actual masthead. They also wanted the brand to feel younger and fresher. In order to accomplish this, I altered the color palette to include more vibrant, saturated colors and expanded the number of colors; they had previously been using a red hue along with some desaturated blues.
